nmuta: by far, the most important skill thatwe teach students at galvanize is the process of problem solving. female: galvanize full stack is a six-monthimmersive program that gives students the skills they need to be successful junior developers. steve: in my previous career, i had been anengineer and i just found that i didn't like the day-to-day work. heather: i was a full-time stay-at-home mom.i used galvanize to bridge the resume gap and get back into the workforce. mattias: i've done a lot stuff in my adultlife. i think i was always meant to be a coder,
and galvanize really gave me the opportunityto learn enough about my passion to enter the professional world. denise: it's the ecosystem and the communityand the dedication of the teachers. martha: many of our students go out into rolesprogramming in java, other languages in frameworks that we didn't specifically teach here. butwhat we did teach you was the fundamentals of software development and the ability toteach yourself. steve: we learned so much so quickly and coveredso much material that looking back, i'm not sure how i was able to absorb it all. liz: when you get that first really "yes"from an employer and they really feel like,
"this is it. i am a programmer." i live forthat moment. it's the best thing for me. jaylyn: every day, every minute that you spendhere is going to benefit you. the roi is absolutely amazing. heather: i found my job through the hiringbay that they put on at the end of the program. i got connected with pivotal and that endedup being my job. denise: i feel like i can now go to any engineeringenvironment and learn what i need to learn, and i think that's probably the most importantthing. nmuta: really, what i love most about teachingis being able to provide life-changing experiences for students. this place is really the bestplace to learn how to be a developer.
